The Dispute Resolution in Mental Health Initiative (DRMH Initiative) brings conflict resolution tools to all kinds of mental health stakeholders. We help people talk about mental health, address challenging behaviors, and resolve conflicts. The DRMH Initiative is operated by the CUNY Dispute Resolution Center (CUNY DRC) at John Jay College and MH Mediate. All programs have been designed by Dan Berstein, a mediator and mental health expert living with bipolar disorder.

The Dispute Resolution in Mental Health Initiative website allows users to create a free account that provides access to programs designed for conflict resolvers, libraries and laypeople. Visit www.drmhinitiative.org to receive access to the following programs:

  • Mental Health Communications and Conflict Resolution for Libraries
  • Health Conflict Culture for Housing
  • Conflict Compass for Families
  • Conflict Resolution Resources for Peers
  • Supporting Families Experiencing Mental Health Conflicts for Conflict Resolvers
  • Welcoming Mental Health Peers for Conflict Resolvers
  • Welcoming Diverse Mental Health Perspectives for Dialogue Events
