The AAA-ICDR Foundation awarded the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s 2023 Lawyer as Problem Solver Award

The AAA-ICDR Foundation is pleased to announce it has been awarded the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s 2023 Lawyer as Problem Solver Award. Annually awarded to legal professionals and/or institutions that exhibit extraordinary skill in promoting lawyers as problem solvers and resolving disputes at the individual, community, state, national, and international levels.

The AAA-ICDR Foundation is pleased to announce it has been awarded the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution’s 2023 Lawyer as Problem Solver Award. Annually awarded to legal professionals and/or institutions that exhibit extraordinary skill in promoting lawyers as problem solvers and resolving disputes at the individual, community, state, national, and international levels.

Since its inception in 2015, the Foundation has provided $8.4 million to organizations dedicated to preventing and resolving conflicts through expanded access to alternative dispute resolution. Findings show that mediation-based response offers an effective, humane alternative to traditional enforcement models, with early evidence of increased community trust and more equitable access to services.
